We are closed on an ad hoc basis until Saturday and then closed for Easter week until Tuesday 22nd April.
I’ll be heading to Scotland to visit my mum in her care home who sadly has dementia with the family.
As with any small business, I won’t be stopping working and am still taking enquiries and answering emails. But while it is quiet, the shop and studio will be shut. I’m still around locally until Saturday and taking meetings so do call if you have an urgent ask.

Neutrals corner in the shop/studio. We dont just do colour! 🤣. Its been an absolutely insane 2 weeks with a big event for a wine launch, Mother’s Day, a big charity event for Mind and today a special commission for the @olivierawards - and I’ve done it solo which has been a LOT. I’ve a gazillion images to share which I will do in the next couple of days, but in the meantime am just posting this… easy peasy, pure and simple and made me happy as my view while I ate my lunch today here!
The sun is shining and I’ve got to say I’m really really looking forward to hanging out with friends this weekend, spending some time on my own home and in the garden planting up some containers … and just stopping for 2 minutes. NOT complaining. I’m very lucky. 🥰. Next week is last week in studio before we shut for Easter week. Heading up to Scotland to see my mum. Happy weekend all of you!! Have a bloody good one!! ❤️❤️❤️

Concept designed for @rb_mind and @mindcharity for a special event this week.

Today I’ve made up 15 different ‘mind’ floral vases symbolising the beautiful and diverse and unique make up of all our individual minds - no matter the space they may currently be.

I was honoured to be asked to help on this … As many of you know I’ve faced my own ups and downs ( most likely co-morbidities of my own ADHD brain) and sometimes my own head has not always been filled with the colour of the flowers I am lucky to work with but much darker spaces . The work this charity does is so necessary.

The vases will be on sale after the event for all of YOU - and money raised to support @rb_mind ( with or without the florals ).

This crazy colourful mind was a simpler one to make and uses gorgeous dyed feather grass - or #styphapennata … it’s like trolls hair right?! (and no comparisons to my own unruly locks please! 🤣).

Today I’ve made up 15 different ‘mind’ floral vases symbolising the beautiful and diverse and unique make up of all our individual minds - no matter the space they may currently be.

we took it all back again and reused it for other projects. Win win for the restaurant in terms of florals that didn't need replacing and win win on sustainability. Fun designing this one! Xx

I can't do a voice over on this post as I'll get emotional ! Some of you will know that Saturday is my lovely Eve's last day at IB 😞before she heads off around the world on new exciting adventures...
Eve started working with me in July last year and I've absolutely loved having her alongside me. I've gotten probably far too fond of her as an employer because as well as being talented she is an absolutely beautiful human being. 🥰
So when Eve told me in January that her and her boyfriend had decided to take a year out to explore Asia I was selfishly sad and gutted in equal measures ... but then of course also incredibly excited for her. Life is always for grabbing adventure and opportunity while you can. 💥
Eve, THANK YOU for all you have done while you've been here. For putting up with my higgledy brain, jumping on board with all the crazy ideas... never complaining as I sent you up the ladder ... again! The endless sweeping and of course, all the absolutely beautiful floral work you have done.
I'm going to miss you a lot ... but go forth... enjoy the world... make amazing memories ... and be happy 😊.

Me with David Lynch - without doubt the person who showed me how art and life are one and the same. Just so immeasurably sad today.

In 1996 I was offered a job as an onset intern and pa in Hollywood on Lost Highway. After filming finished he sugggested I stay on and work through post production - and I ended up living in LA and working alongside him for a year. And of course, it changed my life. His generosity to me as a young person in her mid 20s and what he taught me and shared of his incredible genius was immense. Editing and post production took place in his home in the Hollywood hills and the experience and the bond our small team formed íntense.
Every Friday at the end of the week, I'd head out to buy red wine and cheese and what became known as 'Friday cocktail hour' became a ritual. We'd all of us hunker round the table together in the editing room, sometimes with an incredible last minute guest... Bill Pullman, Marilyn Manson... and stories and art and life were shared.

One cocktail Friday on learning I'd never seen EraserHead in a cinema, he hired the whole Chinese Mann movie theatre and the following week, there our team were sitting next to him watching one of the most undeniably intense and incredible pieces of filmaking of all time. I mean WTAF?
He took me on sound recording walks where we recorded neighbourhood noises through pieces of pipe on a small recording device for Lost Highways sound effects ... and once, when a rattlesnake was found dangerously near the house, he shot it and then had the gardener skin it and present it to me as a souvenir!! I still have it.

I was pursuaded to take on several small extra roles in filming itself - as a waitress ( pic ),police officer, and as the murdering ethereal shadow. My hair clinched that part! Freeze frame and you may spot me.

There are too many incredible pinch me stories to share of my incredible time living and working with David in LA. But of course they are all incidental. Because more than any of these adventures what he taught me was all about the minutiae. How the small moments become art, living within your own altered world (cont in comments )...

Me with David Lynch - without doubt the person who showed me how art and life are one and the same. Just so immeasurably sad today.

In 1996 I was offered a job as an onset intern and pa in Hollywood on Lost Highway. After filming finished he sugggested I stay on and work through post production - and I ended up living in LA and working alongside him for a year. And of course, it changed my life. His generosity to me as a young person in her mid 20s and what he taught me and shared of his incredible genius was immense. Editing and post production took place in his home in the Hollywood hills and the experience and the bond our small team formed íntense.

2024 saw me designing in Paris,
Battersea Power Station, Covent Garden, flowers for film and TV sets - teaching and workshops....
2024 was beautiful but bloody difficult too. Family illness, juggling the absolute constant never stopping that is running your own biz and my own non-stop never ending thinking that is my ADHD brain which sometimes makes life so very bloody challenging - but which also feeds my creativity and ideas and the bonkers visions and ideas for design that happen - very often at 3am!

There's some new things planned for 2025. Some change which is always scary but necessary...

Thank you ...Eve, Izi, Kathy, Geri, Taya, Emma and all the other IB team who have helped me in 2024 ... and most especially of all...YOU lot and all my clients. Flowers and design really are magic. They change lives, they feed and support our souls... they help share happiness, love, memory, loss... and 2025 will definitely have more of that in it. Sharing what I love with you all...

Bring on another year. There will be shit times and wonderful times.... but with each other and a large dollop of flowers we've got this right? Xxx ❤️❤️❤️

A very special wreath delivered last week ...and a very very special model ( my fantabulous dad! ) showing it off for Brinsworth House @royalvarietyperformance which is Dads care home. Obviously this wreath needed to shout entertainment for their front door ...
So what better than the circus?!🌟😉. Absolutely no pun intended as to what goes on behind those doors🤣

Did you see the Royal Variety performance on ITV this weekend? My gorgeous niece Iris presented flowers to the king... And Dad was taken to watch. 🥰

We've been so incredibly lucky with Brinsworth and all they've done for dad through a really rubbish time for him. The Royal Variety charity raises money for all those with a history in the entertainment industry ( both in front of and behind the scenes ) for those in need - both young and old and really does amazing things supporting mental health and other physical health and life issues for those that struggle.

I know this time of year can be difficult for so very many, but I've popped up the charity fundraiser link here and in my bio, because whilst we are able to pay for dads care, we have seen first hand what they do to help others. You can also find their just giving link over in the @royalvarietyperformance bio.
